SAN FRANCISCO – Jul. 30, 2008 – Today, the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) announced the appointment of its new board of directors, including Jen Millard, executive vice president of channels at San Francisco-based company ZoomSystems. During her three-year board engagement, Millard will be tasked with devising policy and managing AMAC affairs to execute programs to grow membership of the council among minority individuals and women, in addition to identifying new sources of revenue for the organization and mentoring college students interested in a career path in the airport and aviation industries. Millard brings more than 20 years of experience in retail operations to her position as AMAC’s Western Region Director. She is currently responsible for the strategic planning and management of real estate locations and channels for ZoomSystems’ automated retail stores. An advocate of airport retail for more than a decade, Millard works within the airport community to facilitate vendor relationships for the local suppliers, product replenishment and trade organizations necessary to ensure successful operation of ZoomShops in airports nationwide.
Executive Vice President, Channels ZoomSystems
With more than 20 years experience in retail operations, Jen Millard is the executive vice president of channels at San Francisco-based company ZoomSystems. Ms. Millard is responsible for the strategic planning and management of real estate locations and channels for ZoomSystems’ automated retail stores, called ZoomShops, which are stand-alone shops located in malls, grocery stores and airports. Ms. Millard directly oversees the strategy, acquisition, negotiation and procurement of airport real estate for all of ZoomSystems’ brand partners, including Apple iPod, Proactiv, Sony Access and Rosetta Stone.
Ms. Millard is an active member of the Retail Council of Advisors, The National Retail Federation, The International Council of Shopping Centers; and the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association. Ms. Millard was selected for the 2007 Chain Store Age “Rising Stars, 40 under 40” feature and is frequently asked to comment about the retail industry by leading news organizations such as the Chicago Tribune.
Ms. Millard held senior management positions at Sears, Bed Bath & Beyond, Brown Shoe Group, and Saks Inc. Prior to joining ZoomSystems, Ms. Millard was responsible for retail operations at McMillan|Doolittle LLP, a retail consulting firm in Chicago. Ms. Millard graduated in 1990 from Colby College with a BA in American Studies.
