Jack Lawrence, President & CEO
Jack oversees the strategy and day-to-day operations of ZoomSystems.
Jack has more than 26 years of experience in the telecommunications, entertainment, consumer products and services industries. Jack is a proven manager of global operations including sales, marketing, product development, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics and finance. He has held top executive positions at Corgi International, Cranium, Dotcast, AT&T Communications and Chambers Communications.
Jack holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University, plus an MBA from Rutgers University and an MBA from Seton Hall University.
Gower Smith, ZoomSystems’ Founder and Co-Chairman of the Board; President ZoomSystems Asia
Gower founded ZoomSystems, continues to help develop and drive our strategic vision, and oversees all Asia-Pacific business development and operations.
Before founding ZoomSystems in 2002, Gower created shareholder wealth in six Asian technology businesses, including numerous successful startups: ComputerLand, the Australian distribution for Apple computer products, Archives Computers, a networking and software company that was later sold to Impact Systems, and Boomerang Imaging Supplies. Gower led the turnaround of Impact Systems, which was acquired by Gestetner, and became responsible for Gestetner’s Asian marketing operations.
Gower completed his radio technician certificate with the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation, and studied microprocessors at the Melbourne Institute of Technology and Caulfield Institute of Technology.
Jen Stephan, SVP Engineering
Jen is responsible for technology development at ZoomSystems.
She brings over 15 years of experience as a software and product engineering executive. Prior to ZoomSystems, Jen was Vice President of Engineering at grayboxx, a VC funded local search company. She also served as Vice President of Engineering and Operations for IPRO Corporation. Jen began her career at Oracle Corporation.
Jen studied computer science at Stanford University.
Russ Yoshinaka, SVP Corporate Development
Russ oversees strategic partnerships, legal and HR for ZoomSystems.
Prior to joining ZoomSystems, Russ was a senior executive for two emerging growth technology companies, Virtela Communications (funded by Norwest Venture Partners) and ZANTAZ (funded by General Atlantic). While at ZANTAZ, Russ played a key role in supporting the growth of the company from $18 million to $125 million in revenue, and the eventual successful sale of the company for $400 million. A Seattle native and loyal Husky fan, Russ attended the University of Washington for both undergraduate and graduate school.
David Popler, SVP Sales
David is responsible for defining sales strategy and developing new ZoomSystems customer relationships.
He is a software executive with 20 years experience leading sales, business development, and operations in hi-tech companies. Before ZoomSystems, David was CEO at GoingOn where he led the company in developing a successful web community platform for education. Prior to GoingOn, David has held executive positions at Corrigo, Andersen Consulting, and Merck Pharmaceuticals.
David holds a BA in Computer Science from Rutgers University, an MS in Computer Science from Villanova University, an MS in Manufacturing Engineering from the McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
